FAQ
Questions answered with precision.
A practical guide to Veritable’s authentication workflow, certificate format, verification registry, and privacy posture.
How does online authentication work?
Create an account, submit detailed item information, upload required photos, choose a service tier, complete the representative authorization screen, and track the review in your dashboard. The authentication team records a result and issues a COA when eligible.
What photos are required?
We request clear photos of the front, back, interior, logo stamp, serial/date code or microchip area, hardware, stitching, zippers, corners, plus optional receipt or proof of purchase and additional images.
What are the turnaround times?
Essential Authentication and Veritable COA are typically targeted within 24–72 hours. Priority Review has a 24 hour target turnaround. Complex items or additional photo requests can extend timing.
What does a Veritable COA include?
A COA includes Veritable branding, certificate title, certificate ID, QR code, public verification URL, item details, result, date issued, authentication team signature, and an independent authentication disclaimer.
Is Veritable affiliated with designer brands?
Veritable is an independent authentication service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any designer brands, fashion houses, or trademark owners. Brand names are used only for identification of goods submitted for authentication.
What happens if an item is not authentic?
The result will be recorded as Not Authentic in the customer dashboard. A COA marked Authentic is not issued for items that do not meet authenticity criteria.
Can a review be inconclusive?
Yes. If submitted evidence is insufficient or authenticity cannot be responsibly determined, the review may be marked Inconclusive. Additional photos may be requested before a final determination.
What is the refund policy?
This configuration does not collect online payments. If Veritable later enables billing or manual invoicing, refund terms will be presented before any charge is made.
Can I use Veritable for marketplace or resale transactions?
Yes. The Veritable COA and Priority Review tiers are designed for resale, collection records, boutique intake, insurance support, and marketplace dispute documentation.
How are my images handled?
Submission photos are stored privately and are not exposed on public verification pages. Production deployments should use private storage buckets and signed URLs for reviewer access.
How does certificate verification work?
Each COA has a unique certificate ID and QR code. The public verification page shows certificate status, item brand/model, result, and date issued without exposing private customer details.
